Beverino is a municipality of scattered hamlets in the lower Vara valley, along the river and on the surrounding hills, about ten kilometres from La Spezia; the town hall is at Padivarma. Part of its territory lies within the Montemarcello-Magra-Vara nature park.
There is a hostel and a few rooms, handy for anyone moving between the Cinque Terre and the hinterland.
