Brugnato grew up around an early medieval monastery and was a bishop’s seat for centuries: the village keeps an unusual shape, with houses fanning out around the Romanesque cathedral, and the diocesan museum holds its treasures.
For Corpus Christi its streets are covered with carpets of flowers in the traditional infiorata. On the edge of the village is a large outlet centre, which explains the many places to eat.
