Calice al Cornoviglio stands at 400 metres between the Vara valley and Lunigiana, below Monte Cornoviglio, which gives it its name. The Malaspina castle in the village houses the gallery of the painter David Beghè, and the hamlet of Madrignano has another Malaspina castle.
The path up to the Cornoviglio looks out over the valleys to the sea. To stay there is a mountain hut and a few rooms.
