Pignone is a medieval village in a side valley of the Vara, behind Monterosso and Levanto, with an old stone bridge over the stream and the market loggia in its square. It includes the hamlet of Casale.
It is a quiet place to sleep half an hour from the Cinque Terre, with a hotel, bed and breakfasts and rooms. The main feast is the Assumption, on 15 August.
