Millesimo is perhaps the loveliest village in the Bormida valley and one of the Borghi più belli d’Italia: you enter across the Ponte della Gaietta, a medieval bridge with a watchtower over the river, and arrive in an arcaded square that serves as the village’s living room. Above the houses stand the ruins of the Del Carretto castle.
Just outside is the Bric Tana regional park, with caves and sinkholes. Try the millesimini, the local rum chocolates.
