Murialdo is a municipality of hamlets scattered along the Bormida di Millesimo, at over 500 metres; the town hall is in the one called Piano. Like nearby Calizzano, it is chestnut country: the chestnuts dried in the tecci are a Slow Food presidium.
The viewpoints on Monte Camulera overlook the whole upper valley, and among the curiosities there is even a «sword in the stone». There is a bed and breakfast for the night.
