Bajardo

At 900 metres, Bajardo can be seen from far away, perched on a peak at the head of the Nervia valley. At the top of the village stand the roofless walls of the church of San Nicolò, which collapsed in the earthquake of 1887: today it is the most evocative spot in Bajardo, with views reaching as far as the Alps.

At Pentecost the village holds the Festa della Barca, an ancient tradition in which a tall tree is raised in the square.
