Ceriana lies in the Armea valley behind Sanremo, its houses leaning against the slope and the churches of its confraternities tucked among the alleys. It is one of the Borghi più belli d’Italia.
The village is known for its singing: the confraternities keep ancient polyphonic songs alive, heard above all during Holy Week. From Sanremo it is about twenty minutes by car.
