Pontedassio

Pontedassio is the first village you reach going up the Impero valley from Imperia, six kilometres from the coast. This is where, in the 19th century, the Agnesi family started the mill from which their pasta business was born.

The hamlet of Bestagno has an ethnographic collection, and the Santa Lucia tower stands in the surrounding area. The patron saint is Saint Margaret, celebrated on 20 July.
