Prelà is a municipality of scattered hamlets in the upper Prino valley, about ten kilometres from Imperia; the town hall is in Molini di Prelà, on the valley floor, where, as the name suggests, millstones once turned.
One of its curiosities is the Museo delle cose dimenticate, the museum of forgotten things, and in summer the Lecchiore pools are a place to cool off. For the night there is an agriturismo and a few holiday homes.
