Olivetta San Michele is the westernmost municipality in Liguria: a scattering of hamlets on the hills right by the French border, at 290 metres, with fewer than two hundred inhabitants.
There is a campsite and a few places to eat; Ventimiglia and the coast are about twenty minutes away. The patron saint is Saint Anthony of Padua, celebrated on 13 June.
