Province of Genoa

Campo Ligure

Campo Ligure is Italy’s capital of filigree: in the village workshops silver is still worked into the finest threads, and the civic filigree museum displays pieces from Italy and abroad. The village, in the Stura valley, is one of the Borghi più belli d’Italia.

The Spinola castle towers over the houses, and the stream is crossed by the medieval bridge of San Michele. To stay there is a hotel and a few rooms.
