Vobbia lies in the valley of the same name, a side valley of the Scrivia, and is known for the Castello della Pietra: a medieval fortress wedged between two rock towers, as if it had grown out of the mountain itself. It is reached by a footpath of about twenty minutes and is open to visitors in the warmer months.
The village is small and quiet, with one hotel, inside the Antola park.
