Gorreto is one of the least populated municipalities in Liguria: a few dozen people in the upper Trebbia valley, right where the region meets Piedmont and Emilia. The village lies at 530 metres, its stone houses along the river.
It is a place for anglers, walkers and anyone seeking silence; there is a hotel and a few rooms. The patron saints are Fermus and Rusticus, celebrated on 9 August.
