Rezzoaglio is the heart of the Aveto valley, at 700 metres, within the regional nature park: a land of beech woods, pastures and small glacial lakes such as Lago delle Lame, where in summer you can walk in the shade of the forest. The hamlet of Cabanne gave its name to the Cabannina, the small, hardy cow of the Ligurian Apennines.
An educational forest trail, with a charcoal kiln and animal dens, is designed for children, and there is also a forest museum. To stay there are hotels, an agriturismo and a mountain hut.
